Job Description
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership and delivery of business-critical API-driven platforms and web applications. You will design, develop, enhance, and support robust REST-based APIs and modern applications while ensuring scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
You will serve as the technical counterpart to senior design stakeholders, ensuring that proposed user experience solutions are technically feasible, architecturally sound, and efficiently implementable. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between design vision and engineering execution.
You will drive engineering excellence by implementing development standards, ensuring code quality, managing CI/CD pipelines, and promoting secure software delivery practices across the entire development lifecycle.
You will collaborate with global teams, participate in architecture discussions, support integration activities, and contribute to strategic technology decisions that support DHL's digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, having experience in Java, React, REST APIs development and Spring Boot is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of building secure cloud native applications will also be an integral part of this role.
You are a technology aficionado, therefore exposure to generative and agentic AI or AI-assisted software engineering practices would be an advantage. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
