Job Description
Consent platform is core Identity infrastructure - every Intuit product surface (QBO, TurboTax, Credit Karma, Mailchimp) routes user consent decisions through it before data can be collected, shared, or used for a given purpose. This is a fullstack SE1 role on the team owning that platform: building the services and UIs that capture, store, and enforce consent choices at Intuit scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain fullstack features across the Consent platform — backend services (Java/Node) and frontend experiences (React) that surface consent choices to end users.
Partner with senior engineers and PM to translate consent/privacy requirements (GDPR, CCPA, and emerging regs) into shipped features.
Write tests, participate in code review, and follow secure coding practices — consent handles regulated user data, so security and correctness bar is high.
Debug and resolve production issues; participate in on-call rotation as ramped.
Contribute to API design and data modeling for consent state across services.
Collaborate cross-functionally with adjacent Identity teams (AuthN, AuthZ) and downstream consuming teams across Intuit.
Qualifications
0–2 years of professional software engineering experience, or a recent CS degree with strong internship/project experience.
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Node.js, or similar) and one modern frontend framework (React preferred).
Understanding of REST API design, relational/NoSQL data stores, and basic distributed systems concepts.
Exposure to or interest in data privacy/security concepts a plus, not required.
Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and debugging.
Effective communicator, comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
