Job Description
The Test Engineer is responsible for creating and executing test plans for design verification, system testing, and compliance testing of systems that include platform and multimedia software. This role involves test development, which includes defining and implementing hardware and software for both manual and automated testing. The engineer will collaborate with local leads and remote teams to debug issues and implement automotive features.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution: Create and execute comprehensive test plans for design verification, system testing, and compliance testing of automotive software.
Test Development: Define and implement the necessary test system hardware and software to support both manual and automated testing processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with both local leads and remote teams to debug issues and implement automotive features.
Daily Testing Activities: Conduct sanity, system stability, CTS (Compatibility Test Suite), performance, feature testing, and automation development.
Problem Analysis: Collaborate with design engineers to analyze and troubleshoot issues related to software functionality.
Specification Interpretation: Interpret domain specifications and product requirements to inform testing strategies.
Test Result Management: Organize test results effectively and compile detailed test reports.
Defect Tracking: Log defects into the defect tracking system and support remediation efforts.
