Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and confident Quality Analyst Trainee to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a logical mindset, and strong communication skills who is eager to build a career in quality assurance and testing.
Key Responsibilities
Understand business/functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases
Perform manual testing of applications/websites/software to identify bugs and inconsistencies
Log, track, and report defects clearly using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and verify fixes
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings
Prepare and maintain test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports)
Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality
Continuously learn testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices
Requirements & Experience
Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of manual testing concepts (test case design, bug life cycle, types of testing)
Familiarity with bug-tracking/test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar) is a plus
Basic understanding of SQL for data validation
Exposure to automation testing concepts (Selenium, or similar) is an added advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
B.Tech/B.E/BCA/MCA/B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
